My family and I are doing a trip to Zion for the holidays. I know Angels Landing typically requires a permit and I know at some so did the Narrows. I can’t seem yo find any information pertaining to late December this year.

For Angels Landing, a permit is required year-round, including late December. Since the seasonal lottery for that period has passed, you’ll need to apply for the Day-before Lottery on recreation.gov the day before your hike. For The Narrows, permits are generally not required if you’re hiking the Bottom-Up route from the Temple of Sinawava, but if you’re planning to do the Top-Down route, a permit is necessary. Make sure to check the weather and river conditions before heading out, as colder temperatures and high water flows can affect access and safety during the winter. Have a great trip
